Based, in part, on a silent German serial of the same name, this picture is rooted in science fiction. When a scientist (Cervi) discovers a formula that allows him to control gravity, he becomes the subject of a plot by Chinese agents. Thompson and Ventura are agents for Swedish Intelligence and come to the scientist's rescue. The first of director William Dieterle's (THE DEVIL AND DANIEL WEBSTER, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME) films after returning to his native Germany. Unfortunately, this film is nothing more than a fine serial, which originally was shown in two parts.
