Miss Annie Rooney Reviews

Temple had problems finding a good film that would allow her to make the transition to more adult roles and help her recapture the success she had as a child star. MISS ANNIE ROONEY proved to be no exception, as it depends too heavily on the overworn story line about the poor girl falling for the rich boy, though the rich boy's father disapproves. In this case, everything is smoothed over when Temple's father pursues Moore's father with his idea for synthetic rubber. When the idea proves fruitful, Moore's father begins to see Temple in a new light. Temple is unable to do much with the script's burdensome dialog, which is the film's major drawback.
