Lane bet against his self-made millionaire father who maintains that Lane can't hold down a real job for one month. Lane becomes a milkman and on his route meets Fontaine, whom he mistakes for a servant. They get romantically involved and find themselves in a series of comical episodes. In the climactic chase scene, Fontaine throws a barrage of milk bottles at the pursuing police cars.
