Losin' It Reviews

Lubricious high school seniors drive to Tijuana to get deflowered in style (it's 1962, and "losin' it" is still an event of some significance), encountering the inevitable nice girl (Shelley Long) along the way. She's after a quickie divorce; the boys--who include Jackie Earl Haley (of BREAKING AWAY and innumerable direct-to-video cheapies) and a then-unknown Tom Cruise--are after a quickie. Inoffensive of this kind (except for the usual array of stock Mexicans), but wholly unoriginal. Aside from fresh-faced Cruise, the cast doesn't look nearly as good as the candy-apple Chevy convertible.
