Letter From a Novice Reviews

Petit plays a woman about to take the vows to become a nun when her guilt-ridden past is revealed through a letter of denouncement. She confesses to priest Girotti she had a lover, Belmondo, whom she killed when she found out he was intimate with her own mother. Her mother then gave her the choice of prison or the convent. She chose the convent only to be rejected and prosecuted when her own guilt led her to write the letter of denouncement. (In French; English subtitles.)
