L'Annee des Meduses Reviews

This worthless exploitation picture was released in France in 1984 but masqueraded as a "French art film" in the US in 1987. The attractive Valerie Kaprisky (BREATHLESS, 1983) is Chris, an 18-year-old femme fatale who spends her summers on the beach at St. Tropez with her 38-year-old mother (Caroline Celier) with whom she has something of a sexual rivalry. In time she falls for Romain (Bernard Giraudeau), a local pimp who conducts business from his yacht, but matters are complicated when Mom is also attracted to Giraudeau and tries to keep their rendezvous secret from her disapproving daughter. L'ANNEE DES MEDUSES exists for one reason only--to show countless half-nude women on the beaches of St. Tropez. In French with English subtitles.
