An Italian sex comedy that initially had George Segal as star and Dino Risi as director. When that did not pan out, Tognazzi took Segal's place as an advertiser trying to promote California wine in Italy. Tognizzi's wife, Vitti, is fooling around at a beach villa with Richardson, and Tognazzi's attempts to stop the affair act as catalyst for much of the film's broad humor.
