Kentucky Moonshine Reviews

This probably rates as the zany Ritzes' best flick. After hearing that a major radio show is looking for a hillbilly act, they take Weaver along and head for the hills. Along comes city slicker Martin, the radio talent scout. He is fooled by the boys' act and takes them off to New York. But the Ritzes have unfortunately taken on the guise of the Hatfield family, upsetting members of the real feudin' clan. The farce plays well and there are some really good laughs here. Songs: "Moonshine Over Kentucky," "Reuben, Reuben," "I've Been Swingin'," "Sing a Song of Harvest," "Isn't It Wonderful, Isn't It Swell?" (Lew Pollock, Sidney D. Mitchell), "Kentucky Opera" (Jule Styne, Sidney Clare). Additional comedy skits and songs by Sid Kuller and Ray Golden.
