Jill the Ripper Reviews

Crestfallen over the untimely demise of his brother Michael, L.A. cop Matt (Dolph Lundgren) attends his funeral in Boston. Determined to find out whether Michael was really the victim of a platinum-haired mutilator, dubbed Jill the Ripper by the local media, Matt plunges into a cesspool populated by kinky suspects. To his disgust, he quickly discovers that Michael enjoyed S&M hobbies. Unfortunately, Michael's tight-lipped widow Irene (Danielle Brett) isn't forthcoming about how Michael came to be in bondage at the time of his death. During the course of grilling the silliest bunch of erotic refugees you've ever seen, Matt suspects that Irene's streetwalking, platinum-haired sister Frances (Kristi Angus) could be the killer. Meanwhile, he must also contend with his brother's boss, Mr. Conway (Charlie Seixas), a corrupt developer who placates the grieving family by naming a subway tunnel after Michael, but may very well be responsible for his death. Although the title hints at macabre fun, this S&M thriller delivers only wanton brutality and oafish prurience. Nonetheless, it's worth renting just to see uber-male Lundgren hanging upside down as a hooker spanks his impressive assets. Of course, by then the audience has already been left hanging by the film's many implausibilities
