Thanks to an outstanding cast, this air-disaster film manages to limp to a landing with its "thriller" status intact. Attenborough, a once brilliant scientist, has booby-trapped a transatlantic jetliner because he has been obsessed with thoughts of revenge ever since his daughter was killed in a plane crash. He accuses fellow passenger Rose of being the man responsible for his daughter's death, and panic ensues when Allen tries to kill Rose to pacify Attenborough. A fight breaks out and windows shatter, sucking Allen out into the wild blue yonder. It is not until Attenborough notices a child on board, which reminds him of his daughter, that he abandons his mad plan to crash the plane.
