A comedy about a sedate family that believes a daughter is pregnant. The story centers around the family's search for the father, whom they believe could be one of three men: the girl's ex-fiance, her present fiance, or her lawyer-guardian. As a sideline to the tale, one son, while drunk, secretly marries the family maid, who is herself with child. The story ends with the daughter admitting she made up her pregnancy to protect the maid, the son annulling his marriage, and the maid marrying her first love, the ice man.
