Lyon is an American who mistakenly tells taxi driver Tate the wrong apartment to go to and the apartment's owner mistakes the American for one of his spies. The owner is part of a spy ring trying to overthrow a small monarchy. Lyon is sent to frame a countess by planting papers on her which will cause her execution. The countess turns out to be an American actress, Eilers. There are some twists and double-crosses, with some situations almost slapstick, but finally the two Americans escape to bring a happy ending.
