I Love N.Y. Reviews

I LOVE N.Y. is a semi-autobiographical story written, directed, and coproduced by the one-time king of the celebrity photographers, Gianni Bozzacchi. He'd worked on more than 100 movies as the "still man" before he sat down to write this script. Mario Cotone (Scott Baio) is an Italian-American photographer from the poor side of Manhattan who falls in love with Nicole (Kelly Van Der Velden), the debutante daughter of John Yeats (Christopher Plummer), a respected but cantankerous stage personality. Naturally, the lovers are determined to show everyone their affection transcends monetary and cultural differences. A name cast didn't help this saga which is simply too mild to interest anyone beyond Bozzacchi who was directing a tale close to his own heart.
