Holt and Martin are falsely accused of murdering Robards. It turns out the dead man had just discovered a gold mine and was killed by Brodie and Barrett, who framed Holt and Martin to cover the crime. The heroes break out of the pokey and go after the bad guys. Holt has a fun time with this, even if his shooting is a little off now and then. The two villains are fine in their roles. Bit player Mercer had been elevated from the studio messenger department for this film.
