Frederic Remington: The Truth of Other Days presents the artwork of Frederic Remington (1861-1909). Remington, an avid horseman, born in Canton, NY, near the Canadian border, was committed to preserving the look of the heroic Old West in his artwork. He drew detailed illustrations for his own essays and for stories based on his own cross-country travels. Later he moved into watercolor composition. This program features archival film clips, interviews, and Western landscape footage. Hundreds of original pieces are showcased.
