This innocuous beach movie has popular youth stars of the time Tiffin, Darren, Denver, Sinatra, and Louise as a bunch of aimless adolescents who spend their extra-curricular hours hanging out at the Silver Palms listening to the stiff standup routines of comedian Woodbury. Darren's uncool granddad Middleton wants to close down the noisy club. The kids learn that he's an ex-bootlegger, and they blackmail him into tolerating their activities.
