In this dumb monster movie, the title beast is a buglike creature that lives off the dead, turning corpses into killing machines capable of extracting energy from the living. When Eric (Don Leifert) becomes the unlucky recipient of the fiend, he begins enacting gothic rituals in his cellar. Writer-director Don Dohler (THE ALIEN FACTOR) suffers from a dual affliction: pretention and amateurishness, a deadly combination. While purporting to present a monster that is the culmination of evil throughout the ages, Dohler merely succeeds in highlighting cheap special effects that aren't particularly well done.
