Crossed Swords Reviews

Fun-loving Flynn swashbuckles his way through this film that hinges on an archaic Italian law: young bachelors must chose between marriage and a prison term. In addition to this wedding vs. incarceration dilemma the film deals with a plot to overthrow a duke. Lollobrigida convinces Flynn that tying the knot doesn't mean putting an end to his swashbuckling nights, and they agree to marry. A well-behaved directorial approach simply doesn't do justice to the exuberance of Flynn.
