City of Bad Men Reviews

The Jim Corbett and Bob Fitzsimmons heavyweight championship fight in 1897 in Carson City, Nevada, is recreated in this offbeat western, which finds three outlaws, led by Robertson who is coming home after several years of fighting in the Mexican revolution, riding into town hoping to steal the gate receipts of the fight. A smart sheriff, Sanders, swears them in as deputies assigned to protecting the box office cash. This doesn't stop the crooks, however, until Robertson finds his old sweetheart, Crain, in town and changes his mind about stealing the money. In a double-cross of the other two outlaws, he kills them and saves the cash.
