Cipher Bureau Reviews

Cipher Bureau stands for the part of the US Intelligence Agency that intercepts secret messages and breaks their codes. Ames plays the bureau officer trying to break a ring of thinly disguised German spies. The film gets bogged down in the technical aspects of how codes are deciphered, how bootleg transmitting stations in the high frequencies are run down, and how broadcast music can serve as a medium for spies. A clash of wits and gunplay ensues between Ames and the spies, and in the traditional manner the Marines come to the rescue.
