Bye Bye Baby Reviews

This inept comedy exists mainly to display the physical attributes of Brigitte Neilsen and model Carol Alt. Set in Milan, the film features Alt as the unhappy spouse of a womanizer (Barbareschi). They split up, but quickly find new companions, Barbareschi falling for professional billiards ace Nielsen and Alt pairing up with a dreamy doctor (Connery). However, Barbareschi still has the hots for his former wife and tries his best to win her back. Shamelessly dependent on coincidence, BYE BYE BABY's archaic plotting is all the more distracting since its attempts at humor all fail miserably. A slightly less perfect, Americanized Paulina Porizkova, Alt is an animated Barbie Doll. Nielsen (who also sings on the blaring, poorly integrated rock soundtrack) spends most of the film hunched over a pool table--presumably to display her considerable physical assets.
