Wild story with improbable plot has Byrd, a crime reporter, as well as a star quarterback for a local college team, getting himself imprisoned so he can get a big story on an inmate. He gets the story, is elected president of the inmate's union, and wins the heart of the warden's daughter, Vale. He is released to publish his scoop, marry Vale and look forward to a rewarding career. Well, anything was possible at poverty row's PRC.
