Along the Great Divide Reviews

Guilt-ridden marshal Douglas (he believes he is responsible for his father's death) saves accused killer Brennan from a lynch mob, and the pair set out across the desert to the nearest town in hopes of a fair trial. Brennan is found guilty, but before the sentence can be carried out, Douglas pins the murder on mob leader Anderson. After Douglas neatly disposes of the actual murderer with his six-gun, he and Mayo (Brennan's dutiful daughter) ride off into the sunset. Douglas' first western is aided by veteran action director Walsh's storytelling prowess and Sid Hickox's excellent photography, but the picture as a whole is too reminiscent of past tales of the West and relatively unexciting.
