A Woman of Experience Reviews

Twelvetrees is a lady with a shady past who is recruited by Austrian intelligence agents to get involved with officer Cody, suspected of being a German spy. Bakewell is a young naval officer who truly has her affections, which she subordinates for the good of her country. Cody commits suicide to avoid exposure, and Twelvetrees is wounded in the process. Knowing she has only months to live, Bakewell makes her his bride over the objections of his knowing family, who are apparently concerned about the prospect of a venereal disease. Lightened by Pitts' comic deliveries, the picture's formula plot was ancient even in its own time.
