Exclusive Whodunnit? Video: Go Behind the (Crime) Scenes

For the contestants on ABC's murder-mystery reality show Whodunnit?, the big puzzle is the identity of the killer who's picking them off one by one. But what's on the minds of executive producers Anthony Zuiker and Cris Abrego is not a question of who, but of how. In the video clip below, exclusive to TVGuide.com, Zuiker and Abrego outline the intricate process behind creating the crime scenes in each episode — including that elaborate slingshot/fish tank murder from the premiere.

"As we're building these crime scenes, everything's a clue," Abrego explains.

But that doesn't mean that all the clues will be apparent to everybody.

"I think the most surprising thing for me ... is the reactions of the cast members trying to figure things out that are right in front of them," Zuiker says. "We had some instances where we had contestants look at evidence right straight in the eye and not see it. We're all in the control room going, 'Look! Look! Look!'"
