Regis Philbin apparently has too much free time on his hands. Not only will he sit in for an ailing Dick Clark this New Year's Eve, but Kelly Ripa's sidekick has also agreed to cohost the live portion of NBC's three-hour Apprentice finale on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clark admitted in a statement that it'll "feel strange" watching the ball drop on TV for the first time in three decades, but added "my doctors felt it was too soon. I'm sure Regis will do a great job and I'm thankful that he was able to step in on such short notice."
