What to Stream the Weekend of September 28

This weekend, your binge is about to get delicious with the return of one of the best food shows on TV: Chef's Table. But there are other courses, too, like a thick-and-juicy do-over of one of the Bard's best tales and a sweet story about a young man finding his faith.

1. Chef's Table

Do you like food? Of course you do, unless you are some type of delicious-things-hating weirdo. Netflix's wonderful docuseries Chef's Table returns for a fifth season of celebrating the best things we shove in our faces and the chefs who make them. This short four-episode season will focus on lesser-known chefs with extraordinary stories, like undocumented immigrant Cristina Martinez who gives Philadelphia the best barbacoa in the city. 2. King Lear

One of Old Billy Shakes the Spear's best-known plays, King Lear, gets reworked with powerhouse actor Anthony Hopkins playing the lead role. The movie, split into two parts, moves out of old times and into an alternate history present-day England as we watch Hopkins slowly go insane in this chipper tale. I mean sad! Sad tale. Watch it on Amazon starting Friday.

3. Tracey Ullman's Show

The sketch-comedy stylings of Tracey Ullman return with an aim at life in the U.K., meaning you'll see Ullman sporting all sorts of wigs and accents as she takes on Judi Dench, Teresa May, Maggie Smith and more. The six-episode season starts Friday at midnight on HBO.

4. God Friended Me

The last thing we need is God wasting time on Facebook or Twitter instead of getting poison out of our drinking water, not letting the Earth burst into flames or keeping us from killing each other, but in CBS' new series God Friended Me, he or she is sending friend requests to an atheist podcaster (Brandon Michael Hall) to put him on a path. It's a tad silly, but it asks the big questions, like is God real and how do podcasters make a living? The series premieres Sunday at 8:30/7:30c before moving to its normal 8/7c slot the following week.
