John Spencer, who as an original cast member of The West Wing played chief of staff-turned-vice presidential candidate Leo McGarry, died at a Los Angeles hospital of a heart attack on Friday. He was 58. Spencer's previous credits include L.A. Law; On West Wing, he won an Emmy in the supporting actor category in 2002.
