New York's Taxi and Limousine Commission has opted not to pursue a disorderly conduct charge against 86-year-old 60 Minutes vet Mike Wallace, who was arrested earlier this month during a confrontation with city inspectors outside a Manhattan restaurant. Turns out, the dude who cuffed Wallace had not yet received his special patrolman status, which authorizes inspectors to use handcuffs, write summonses and, apparently, mistreat senior citizens. The officer has been placed on desk duty. Outside Andy Rooney's office.
