Netflix is single-handedly resurrecting the romantic comedy movie genre, which died out theatrically in the late 2000s, with cute direct-to-streaming young adult flicks like Set It Up, The Kissing Boothand the upcoming To All the Boys I've Loved Before, which arrives Friday, Aug. 17 and just got a great new trailer.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before is an adaptation of the best-selling YA novel of the same name by Jenny Han. It stars quickly rising star Lana Condor as Lara Jean Song Covey, a high school junior who hides from the world inside romantic fantasy, writing letters she'll never send to the boys who'll never know how she feels about them. Until one day, the letters somehow get sent, and then she has to deal with each of the guys confronting her about them.

It's directed by Susan Johnson and also stars Pretty Little Liars' Janel Parrish, The Fosters' Noah Centineo and Sex and the City's John Corbett. And the novel on which it's based has two sequels, so Netflix is playing the rom-com long game with this one.
