The Walking Dead Trailer Offers a Few Clues on Negan's Victim

Let's speculate!

"I'm gonna beat the holy hell out of one of you," Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) says in the Season 7 trailer for The Walking Dead, and then proceeds to play eeny-meeny-miny-moe with his 11 captives before beating the holy hell out of one of them.

The trailer, of course, does not reveal who it is. So let's put on our tinfoil hats and get to theorizing!

The order of Negan's potential victims shown in the trailer goes Glenn, Carl, Daryl, Maggie, Sasha, Michonne, Abraham, Rosita, Eugene, Aaron and Rick.

The fact that Glenn (Steven Yeun) is first could indicate that it's him. It's no coincidence that the most prominent placement belongs to the character who Negan killed in the comic. And the other most prominent position belongs to Rick (Andrew Lincoln), who it's not going to be.

Each character gets a little soundbite, and Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) is the most tellingly ironic: "You don't need a picture of me, you never will again," a line from the penultimate episode of Season 4. This line's placement here could mean one of two things: either Glenn's going to really regret letting Maggie burn that Polaroid, because there will never be another opportunity to photograph his wife, or Glenn won't need any photos of her or anyone else, because he's dead.

Beyond that, doesn't this guy being threatened by Dwight (Austin Amelio) look like Aaron (Ross Marquand)?

And doesn't this probable Savior resemble Maggie?

Beyond that, we feel like Carol (Melissa McBride).
