The U.S.S. Orville will be jetting out for even more interplanetary adventures when Seth MacFarlane's sci-fi series returns to Fox at the end of the year, and judging by the newest trailer for The Orville's second season, the show's second run will be intense.
From dying planets to big-talking baddie aliens to the lax Captain Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) walking around with a target on his back, there's a lot happening in this sneak peak of the new season. While much of the preview centers on some of the more dramatic action that's ahead for the crew of this mid-level planetary explorer, there's still plenty of humor on deck.
Season 2 is expected to be an episode longer than its inaugural run and will feature a few new recurring characters and focus more squarely on the drama surrounding the ones fans already know.
