The Big Four networks are threatening to boycott next year's Emmy Awards if the show moves to HBO. As reported here yesterday, HBO is prepared to pony up $10 million to snatch rights to the broadcast away from ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. The major nets reportedly are offering just $5 million a year, up from the current $3.3 million fee. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences meets tonight to discuss the offers.
