Is it really Stranger Things without the dynamic duo?
If there is one thing we can count on to lift our spirits in this dark and trying time, it's the heartwarming friendship of Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo). The pair's unlikely friendship was the highlight of Stranger Things 2, and although it was played mostly for laughs at first, their bond allowed Steve to embrace his inner hero. By the end of the season, they were no longer just mentor and mentee, but genuine friends. And thankfully, Hawkins' dynamic duo was back at it again in Stranger Things 3.
This season, with the help of Robin (Maya Hawke) and Lucas's little sister Erica (Priah Ferguson), they investigated a coded message that Dustin had intercepted. This led them to uncover a secret Soviet compound under the Starcourt Mall, where Steve and Robin worked at a nautical-themed ice cream shop called Scoops Ahoy. Obviously, hilariousness and greatness ensued (along with the typical threat of danger, of course). Here are all the best Steve and Dustin moments from the new season, which hit Netflix on July 4.
1. When Dustin returns from summer camp, and Steve absolutely loses his cool.

2. When Dustin is very supportive of Steve getting the Scoops Ahoy job.
3. When Dustin dunks on Steve while the pair look for Soviet spies at the Starcourt Mall.

4. Or when Dustin reminds Steve he's never actually won a fight (the truth hurts).
... and then gets excited when Steve actually does win a fight.
5. When they (OK, just Dustin) enjoy some ice cream together.
6. "Touch my butt! I don't care!"

7. When Dustin is willing to die with Steve...
... and really doesn't want to leave him behind with the Soviets but has to...
... but then comes back to save him (and Robin)!
8. When Dustin has to parent Steve because he's been drugged.
9. And lastly, when Steve doesn't believe that Suzie is totally, absolutely real. (Kinda rude, bro.)
