To say it's been a tense summer waiting for Station 19 to return would be a bit of an understatement. After all, in the Season 1 finale, several characters fates were left up in the air as a rescue mission went awry. Now, we can at least confirm that one of them will still be alive and kicking when Season 2 premieres!
In the Season 1 finale, the Station 19 crew battled a fire consuming a skyscraper, and Montgomery (Jay Hayden) found himself with a shard of glass through his chest, which in Shondaland typically means bye-bye forever. Even worse, Ben's (Jason George) attempt to rescue him was interrupted by a civilian who needed his help. Regrettably, Ben had to leave his fallen friend behind to save another life, but as it turns out, that wasn't actually a death sentence for Montgomery.
In an exclusive sneak peek at the premiere, while Ben is still preoccupied carrying the office floor captain (Vanessa Marano) to safety, we can also see that Vic (Barrett Doss) has arrived to drag Montgomery's butt out of the burning building too. We can even hear him him moaning and groaning about how much her methods hurt all the way down.
He may be alive for now, but that's not a guarantee Montgomery will live to fight another fire, so here's hoping Vic gets him safely into the hands of the Grey's Anatomy medical team at Grey Sloan Memorial!
Station 19 Season 2 premieres Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9/8c on ABC.
