Sons of Anarchy Spin-off in the Works at FX

FX is developing a Sons of Anarchyspin-off about the Mayans motorcycle gang, who often clashed with SAMCRO throughout the original series, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The potential drama would focus on the Oakland-based Hispanic gang that runs heroin factories and is involved in prostitution. Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter will executive-produce the project, but is seeking someone else to act as showrunner while he focuses on medieval drama The Bastard Executioner, which launches next month.

At Comic-Con last month, Sutter mentioned doing a prequel series to Sons, one he talked about during the original show's run. It's unclear whether or not the Mayans spin-off would be a prequel.
