ABC and American Idol host Simon Cowell have been named in a lawsuit filed by Jean Golden and Todd Walker, the creators/hosts of the syndicated Million Dollar Idea series, who claim the alphabet network's forthcoming show of the same name is, in fact, the same show as theirs, "in each and every detail." Court papers say that in early 2004, a year after Idea's debut, Walker pitched the series to ABC, and it was well-received. Flash-forward to July 2005, and Cowell is touting his "new show," allegedly an exact replica of the plaintiff's. A statement from ABC is forthcoming, but it probably goes like this: "What?! We thought Paula was the problem one."
