Rihanna may testify at Chris Brown's preliminary hearing in Los Angeles Monday in her first court appearance since Brown was charged with two felonies.
If she is called to the stand, Rihanna could face cross-examination by Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, about the night of Brown's Feb. 8 arrest after an incident between the singers. Brown has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and making criminal threats.
Rihanna's attorney, Donald Etra, has told TVGuide.com the singer will attend the hearing and testify if required.
The hearing will determine whether there is enough evidence against Brown for the case to go to trial. Last week, a judge rejected Geragos' request to delay the hearing.
