Alex Trebek says he is "truly overwhelmed by the great show of support and compassion" expressed by fans following his recent heart attack. "Even though I know Jeopardy! is a very popular program, I was still surprised at the number of people who took time... to call or send a note," Trebek, who was released from the hospital on Saturday, says in a statement. "I will be back in the studio on Jan. 14 to tape our Teen Tournament, which is one of my favorite competitions." Trebek notes that the Jeopardy! installments on the air now "were taped before my heart attack, so what you are seeing is original, not rerun material."
