Former Real Housewives' Cast Member Arrested

One of the extremely wealthy men of the Real Housewives of Orange County has been arrested for not paying child support payments and court fees. Slade Smiley says the reason for falling behind is because of "enormous medical bills" for one of his two sons.

Smiley, who once funded ex-fiancé Jo De La Rosa's lavish O.C. lifestyle, was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for civil contempt, according to E! Online. He was released after posting $10,000 bail. "This is an unfortunate situation that has occurred," said Smiley, whose children are from other relationships.

"My son is very ill and we have been working on resolving the issue of support versus his enormous medical bills with the appropriate agencies for several months now," Smiley said in a statement. "It is sad that individuals would take advantage of the situation in an attempt to defame and discredit me in such a public manner. For those who know me, there is nothing more important than my children."
