Ratings: Game of Thrones Finale, Tony Awards Rise

Game of Thrones closed its third season to 5.4 million viewers Sunday.
While the number is just shy of the series record 5.5 million that was set earlier this season, it did jump 28 percent from Season 2's finale. The finale also improved on the 5.2 million who tuned in to last week's bloody Red Wedding episode.

Meanwhile, the Tony Awards pulled in 7.2 million viewers and a 1.2 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, rebounding 20 percent from last year's all-time low.ABC won the night with Game 2 of the NBA Finals (11.6 million, 4.6), though the Miami Heat-San Antonio Spurs contest was down 21 percent from last year's Heat-Oklahoma City Thunder matchup.
