As I wrote last year in the final question of my Oct. 17 column, while the series version of The Pretender was created and cancelled by NBC, TNT has produced two original films that continue the story of Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) and the gang. Look for The Pretender: The Island of the Haunted on December 10 at 8 pm/ET, with a 19-hour marathon of series episodes plus TNT's first Pretender film, The Pretender 2001, leading up to it. There are no plans for any more beyond this one, according to a network spokeswoman, so savor this latest offering as if it's your last since, hey — it might just be.
