In this exclusive sneak peek from Thursday's new episode (10/9c, NBC), Ruby (Courtney Grosbeck) bursts into Hank's studio and angrily demands to be transferred to a different school.

But while Hank (Ray Romano) starts asking about Ruby's teachers and whether she's being challenged — oh, brother — Sarah (Lauren Graham) immediately figures out the real root of the problem. "What's his name?" she asks Ruby.

However, Sarah's attempt to sympathize with Ruby doesn't go over too well with Hank. Check out this exclusive video below:
