ABC has announced that for Season 2 of Dancing with the Stars, host Tom Bergeron will be joined by E! News correspondent Samantha Harris, who effectively replaces Lisa Canning in the role. Explaining the switch, a network rep tells Variety, "A decision was made to go in a different direction." Should Dancing merit a third season, Canning could be asked back as a contestant, paired with American Idol trivia answer Brian Dunkelman.
