Modern Family Fright Fest!

The Dunphy and Pritchett families never do anything halfway. So it's no surprise to see Modern Family undergo a Transylvanian transformation for its big Halloween episode.
"Claire [Julie Bowen] is obsessed with Halloween. She's the housewife in the neighborhood with the front-yard graveyard and a maze that trick-or-treaters have to walk through to get their candy," teases Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell), who in real life plans to wear his character's muscle-bound Spider-Man costume to a party being thrown at the home of his TV boyfriend, Eric Stonestreet (Cameron). "Claire gives us all roles in her haunted house production, and as expected, Mitchell is not terribly fond of dressing up. I'm relegated to the porch as a scarecrow to try to scare the kids."
Of course, there's classic comedy behind the masquerade. "At our table read, I don't think a script has ever gone over so well," Ferguson says. "It's amazing!"
