Alexandria Mills was named the winner in this year's competition. The 18-year-old from Louisville, Ky., became the third ever U.S. contestant to take the title in the pageant's history.
Second place went to Emma Wareus of Botswana. Adriana Vasini of Venezuela came in third.
The 60th Miss World competition took place in Sanya, China, and was broadcast Saturday on E!.
