Meryl Streep will co-star in the murder drama Dark Matter, Variety reports. It's based on the true story of a Chinese physics student who shot and killed six people on the University of Iowa campus back in 1991. Streep plays a wealthy benefactress who befriends the troubled scholar. Matter's helmer is Chinese opera director Chen Shi-zheng, who's making his feature-film directing debut.
