Actor Luke Wilson is getting ready to suit up as one of the most maligned men in America. The Royal Tenenbaums actor is in talks to play NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in an upcoming untitled NFL movie, The Wrap reports.

Actor Luke Wilson is getting ready to suit up as one of the most maligned men in America. The Royal Tenenbaums actor is in talks to play NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in an upcoming untitled NFL movie, The Wrap reports.

The Sony Studios film will star Will Smith as Dr. Bennet Omalu, a neuropathologist who first connected playing professional football with chronic concussions. As Omalu brings the troubling link to the public, he'll be met with cultural and professional opposition from the biggest league in American sports.

Goodell, who has been hung out to dry for his mishandling of the Ray Rice domestic abuse case, will be front and center as the acting commissioner who must tackle the new findings. However, Goodell might be portrayed a little better than he has been lately, as he understood the severity of the problem and took action to minimize the damage on players' health by organizing a summit and donating lots of money to the cause.
