Kristen Stewart's mom is denying a story that ran in British tabloid The Mirror.

According to the publication, Stewart's mother Jules reportedly outed her daughter, saying that she's dating her personal assistant, Alicia Cargile. The uber-private Twilight star has been rumored to be dating Cargile since last year, but hasn't publicly commented on her current love life. "What's not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She's happy. I've met Kristen's new girlfriend, I like her," Jules is quoted as saying in The Mirror.

While a nice and supportive sentiment, Jules now claims she never said it.

"I spoke to Sharon Feinstein [interviewer for The Mirror] about my film K-11that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum," Jules told Us Weekly Monday. The film is currently under the museum's LGBT banner. "She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express. Then we talked briefly about the fundraiser I am hosting for TheWolfConnection.org. Never ever did we discuss Kristen!"

While noting that she is a "huge supporter of gay rights," Jules went on to tellUs Weekly that she only briefly spoke of Cargile, whom The Mirror claimed Jules confirmed is the actress' girlfriend. When asked by Feinstein if she knew Cargile, "I said, 'Yes, she's a lovely girl,'" Jules told Us Weekly.

Feinstein tweeted Monday that she stands by her story, and plans on releasing audio from the interview on Tuesday.
