Hayden Panettiere's Father Charged in Assault Case
Hayden Panettiere's father was charged Thursday with misdemeanor battery, the L.A. County District Attorney's office announced. Alan Panettiere was arrested in August after he was accused of assaulting his wife at the family's West Hollywood home. "It [the incident] was blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his fifteen minutes of fame," the Heroes star told Extra after the arrest.If convicted, Alan Panettiere faces up to one year in prison. — Anna Dimond
